Experience
The populations I work with include at-risk youth, adults, teens, military veterans, couples, and families. My clients are primarily those who are searching for answers to relationship issues, anxiety, depression, stress, and grief. The populations I most enjoy working with are couples and families, spiritual believers, Christians, and individuals facing various life issues whether teens or adults. Frequently, my experiences with teens and parents have been very rewarding.
I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming your situation. I have worked within communities of teens and adults who were incarcerated as well as their after care, in a hospital psychiatric unit, within a school system, and in professional offices.
My therapy style is eclectic, meaning I use a variety of counseling techniques. My primary modalities are CBT and Behavioral Counseling. With CBT, we will focus on thoughts and perceptions and how they affect our behaviors and beliefs. I was also trained in the principles of Behavior Modification, which can help parents change their children’s behaviors in a more straight forward manner.
