About Me...

I have provided counseling services for 12+ years in both mental health and addiction. I am licensed in both North and South Carolina as a mental health counselor and addictions specialist. I am also licensed in Florida, Virginia and Vermont for mental health counseling. I am a clinical supervisor for both mental health and substance abuse counselors in North Carolina. I enjoy helping individuals find their own truths, happiness, and contentment in life. I believe we have all of our answers within ourselves and it is my job to help you explore your own solutions and focus on your strengths to help you reach your goals. My areas of interest and expertise are working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, substance abuse issues, career challenges, parent/child relational conflicts, couples/marital counseling, life transitions, work and life stresses, and more. I have extensive experience working with military populations as well, and understand the unique psychological and familial impacts that the lifestyle can affect. I have also provided parental counseling and child-rearing strategies to families struggling with these issues. My goal is to help you to reach your highest potential. I can be as gentle or directive as you desire in our sessions. I will meet you where you are in your quest to find peace, happiness, success, or whatever other goals you desire. I use an eclectic approach to assist you in the way that will be the most beneficial for your needs. I use a variety of techniques including Solution-focused therapy, ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), DBT (Dialectic Behavioral Therapy), as well as several other approaches. I view counseling as a partnership, where we will work together to help you to attain your specific individualized goals. If this sounds like something that will meet your needs, please reach out to me.
