Desired populations: I really like working with young adults; I have seen both undergraduate and graduate students at Vanderbilt and Duke University. I also enjoy working with older adults and have worked with younger individuals in their late teens. I think that as psychotherapists we need to be able to understand our client’s perceptions of their world in order to help them move forward with their life journey, being able to meet them where they are in life in order to help them move past the issues that are destabilizing them.

Treatment modalities: CBT, DBT, NLP, Positive Psychology, and work-life balance.

Specialties/ issues treated: ADHD, Anxiety Disorders, Depressive Disorders, Bipolar Disorders, Stress-related Disorders, Adjustment Disorders

Personal interests, passions or hobbies: I really like to travel and spent a year working in Germany. I was able to travel all around Europe during my time there. I am really interested in the work-life balance because I went through 16 years of doing all the things that I needed to do to support my wife’s challenges with Cancer. This really made me more Mindful of all that we have that we tend to take for granted, as if it will always be there. But this can disappear in a single hour. This experience made me understand and appreciate what life was all about, and how important the people who make up your support system are to each of us.
